I have an identical 2015 MBP running Mojave with compatible versions of LPX and FCPX installed and also working. The reason why I did not restore from TM was because I wanted a fresh/clean install of Mojave.

Lucky for me, I have a TimeMachine backup with all apps installed running on Mojave - so I have the option to restore everything. The only available version of LPX through the Apple App Store is version 10.6.2. I have been running LPX version 10.5.1 with Mojave. It turns out that you cannot download previous versions of Logic Pro X or Final Cut Pro X from the App store anymore. I find I am not able to download a previous version of LPX - not sure why.ĮDIT 2: I just got off the phone with Apple. Some have pointed out that it is possible to download previous versions of LPX depending upon the time of purchase and other factors. I've never upgraded my OS to anything beyond Mojave while using Logic Pro X. Is there any other way? ( such as downloading an older version of Logic)ĮDIT: I should have mentioned that at the time I bought Logic Pro X it was 2019 and I was running High Sierra or Mojave at that time. So, the LPX that I paid for cannot be downloaded and installed unless I have macOS 10.15.7 (I'm running 10.14.6). You must navigate to the Purchases area, find your purchased software and download from there. However, if you try to search for Logic Pro X in the Apple App Store and attempt to download from that area you WILL NOT be given the option to download an earlier version of LPX. You’ll be given the option to download an older version - provided you bought the app earlier in time. If you’re looking for an older version of Logic Pro X or Final Cut Pro you must navigate to the Purchases area within the Apple App Store, find the software you’ve purchased, and download from there.
